Recently I was confronted with a tedious task of replacing texts in hundreds of configuration files on my server. As I didn’t find any point in waisting time by manually doing it, I looked for free string/text replacement programs. I came accross a couple of applications and finally found TurboSR to be the one that best suit my needs.
TurboSR is a small stand-alone search and replace utility. It is very handy if you need to make changes to a whole range of text-based files. Supported file types are :
*.txt, *.text, *.htm, *.html, *.log, *.js, *.pas, *.dpr, *.cpp, *.h, *.xml, *.xsl

TurboSR can search one or more folders on your computer for specific files (e.g. *.htm) and show you the existing text in context, allowing you to accept or skip changes as you see fit.

No need to install TurboSR. Just save it whereever you like, then run it from that location. The first time you run TurboSR, it will create a shortcut in your Start menu’s Accessories folder.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.
