Royal Dutch Shell plans to deploy the world’s first sailing liquefied natural gas plant. The gigantic vessel is much larger than an aircraft carrier, weighing 600,000 metric tons and measuring 1,574 feet long and 246 feet wide. Such a monster ship would be able to reach “stranded” gas fields far out in the oceans, whereas usual operations require long undersea pipelines to reach the gas fields

A fleet of 1,900 unmanned ships, each weighing 300-ton, powered by the wind would criss-cross the oceans, sucking up sea water and spraying it from the top of tall funnels to create vast white clouds. These clouds would reflect a tiny proportion, between 1 and 2 per cent, of the sunlight that would otherwise warm the ocean.
